The Kindle Scout Campaign

A week back I submitted the complete manuscript of my novel MIBU & The New Millennium to Kindle Scout. They approved for a launch on 4-May for a period of 1 month.
Here is the link to my Kindle Scout campaign page: https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/J630TU3L4VW7

What do you get? A free copy of the ebook if the book gets selected for publishing. Campaigning was a new experience for I haven't done this before for anything. Asking people to nominate for my own work is not what I'm used to. Attention is something that should be a byproduct of a work good done - has been my belief all along. Maybe I still believe so to some extent. This is one reason, the campaign doesn't seem to go really well. This belief has been changing after researching how marketing usually works. Fellow authors agree that marketing a book is the toughest part (tougher than writing) but without that the book doesn't get noticed at least during the initial phase of their career.
Vinod recently mentioned that even if it is a Rajni movie, Kabali had to be painted on a Air Asia flight to get the attention. No shame, No game.

I'm in the 2nd week of the campaign and here are the stats.
Total page views: 650
Hours in Hot & Trending: 71.

Much of this 'Hot & Trending hours' has been in the first 5 days of my campaign where my facebook friends and my father's friends had shown their support for this venture. Beyond this the number of views drastically got reduced. Kinda stuck how else to get a better reach. who else might be interested in nominating my book. I'm joining a few Goodreads group hoping to get fellow members support. let's see how that goes.

This blog has been almost forgotten for many months. While just browsing my old blogs just noticed that this blog has been constantly getting a good number of views in the past. So, putting a word here again - requesting the readers' time to visit my campaign page and nominate the book if they liked it. With your support my book could be published with Kindle Press.
